Curator for Portal Policing Project, Shared studios

As the sole curator and operator in Baltimore for international art, social research and tech initiative, Shared Studios, I managed my curatorial duties and public presence while building relationships with local and international partners, such as the Baltimore Development Corporation and the Downtown Partnership, and creating programming for Baltimore’s Light City festival.

I worked with dozens of small to large scale institutions and community groups to create engaging events. I brought people off the street into the portal to engage with strangers on the other side and coordinated with curators from around the world to generate connections between our communities.

I was also on a select team of curators gathered internationally to conduct participatory action research for an IRB approved study for criminal justice researchers at Yale University’s law center. The principal investigators include Tracey Meares and Vesla Weaver.
