This was a tile I made in by an industrial slip casting process. In the images you will see my research and my final design. It was designed for the New York City subway stations as a subtle but effective place to lean while waiting for the train. It was designed to go in the center of the users back, utilizing pressure points used in acupuncture. The tile has a special glaze that uses the heat from the subway, warming these points for additional comfort.

In the details of the tile, there are marks of hair and a t-shirt collar giving discrete clues where the user should rest their head and back.
